Does NoGPS upload my photos?
No. All analysis and cleaning happen on your device. NoGPS has no account, never uploads your photos, and does not run them through a server or the cloud.
Is NoGPS a subscription?
No. NoGPS is free to use for single-photo location removal. NoGPS Pro is a one-time $1.99 purchase — not a subscription — that adds batch cleaning and full metadata removal.
Does removing GPS reduce my photo quality?
No. NoGPS strips location and metadata without recompressing the image, so the picture itself stays exactly the same quality.
What metadata can NoGPS remove?
GPS location, capture date and time, camera and device model, editing software, and other EXIF, TIFF and IPTC fields. The free version removes GPS location; Pro can strip all metadata.
Can I clean photos from the share sheet?
Yes. NoGPS adds a share extension, so you can clean a photo from the iOS Photos app or any app's share sheet without opening NoGPS first.
Does NoGPS work offline?
Yes. Cleaning works fully offline. The only optional network use is Apple's geocoder, which can show a city name when a photo contains GPS coordinates.
